TAHAL Group was awarded a new project in Ukraine – reconstruction of wastewater and sludge treatment facilities in the city of Kharkov, totaling $60M.

This Yellow-FIDIC (Design-Build) project includes reconstruction, renovation, refurbishment, construction and modernization of two existing wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) that were designed and built in the 1960s and 1970s. The new facilities will have a capacity of 500,000 m³/day and 200,000 m³/day, and will be equipped with modern treatment processes and advanced control systems.

The project, funded by the World Bank, will be delivered to "Kharkivvodokanal", the municipal water company of Kharkov, the second largest city in Ukraine and a major industrial centre.

The year 2017 was a very successful one for TAHAL's operations in Russia, setting a record of annual sales from existing projects that amounts to nearly $60M. TAHAL Russia opened 2018 by winning this project in Kharkov, as well as the Ivanovo project in Russia ($37M) and the Poti project in Georgia ($35M), which constitutes a major expansion of our operations in the CIS countries.
